What to Expect from an Autism Assessment
1
Step 1: Consultation & Planning
We begin with a thoughtful consultation to understand your concerns, your child’s developmental history, and how questions are showing up at school and in daily life. This step allows us to answer questions, review background information, and design an assessment plan tailored to your child’s unique needs.
2
Step 2: Assessment
We complete a comprehensive autism assessment using developmentally appropriate tools and multiple sources of information. Our focus is on understanding social communication, behavior, sensory processing, and learning within the school context.
3
Step 3: Results, Report & Guidance
You’ll receive a detailed autism assessment report that clearly explains findings and includes individualized recommendations and DSM-V diagnoses (as appropriate). We review results with you, answer questions, and collaborate with school teams to support understanding and implementation of recommendations.
